Our Origin Story
Mr. DiPerna founded DiPerna & Company in 2011 after spending 25-years with other regional investment banks including McDonald & Co (later acquired by KeyBanc Capital Markets) and Robert W. Baird & Co. DiPerna & Co. At firm inception, DiPerna focused on delivering creative financing solutions for economic development projects in Ohio. Today, DiPerna offers a multidisciplinary approach to solving a client’s “funding gap” challenge by procuring incentive packages and pairing them with efficient and competitive capital structures for projects throughout the Midwest.
Why We’re Different
Access to Capital
Much of DiPerna's success can be tied to the 8 separate investment-grade bond funds Mr. DiPerna established in the 1980s and 1990s that have the ability to provide long-term, fixed-rate debt for correctly structured development projects throughout the state of Ohio.
DiPerna still serves as the Financial Advisor to these investment-grade funds.
Financial Structuring
Our financing is the key ingredient that enables master-planned projects to move forward.
DiPerna identifies and secures unique capital sources to solve development challenges by coupling real estate economic incentives with traditional financing mechanisms.
Client Results
Since its founding, DiPerna has structured and closed over 550 transactions, incentivizing over $4 billion in capital investment, including master-planned, mixed-use developments, Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, manufacturing and industrial facilities, senior living facilities, multi-family housing, and public infrastructure/parking facility projects.
